Our next two meetings are on Thursday 10th May and Thursday 24th May.
10th May Print Mounting
In a change to the advertized programme, Mike Selway, a professional picture framer formerly trading in Abingdon, will cover the first half of the evening with a talk / demonstration on picture mounting and framing. In the second half, we have some Royal Photographic Society CD slide shows to entertain us.
24th May RPS Nature Group Annual Slide Exhibition
This is our annual showing of the selected and winning entries to the Royal Photographic Society Nature Group Annual Exhibition, which always contains spectacular images of all things natural.
Please come along to both events, and bring friends, newcomers, one and all. We look forward to seeing you all there.
Match an Image Battle at Wantage 1st May

On Tuesday 1st May, we have a Match an Image Battle at Wantage, starting at 7.30 pm.

All those who wish to attend and help/support us, please meet for car sharing at the Methodist Church Hall car park at 7 pm.
Next meeting 26th April – Print Competition

Our next meeting, on Thursday 26th April, is the first of our three colour and mono print league competitions this year.
The rules have changed slightly – as we are having only three colour and three mono competitions, members can submit three prints for each, that is three colour prints and three mono prints, on any subject. For our newer members, the format is generally for A4 sized prints, mounted on thin card, with or without a border, though this is not a rigid rule!
Please send the titles of your prints to Chris at cjg62(at)nildram.co.uk, to arrive before end of Wednesday 25th April, and don’t forget to bring your prints along on the night!
Our judge will be Sandy Watson, and after the competition, Sandy will give a talk on what a judge looks for in club competitions, with some examples of his own images.
Let’s have a good entry with lots of prints – we look forward to seeing you all, and bring friends and prospective new members.
Next Meeting 12th April: Digital Competition “Motion” and Basic Photo Editing

Our next meeting, on Thursday 12th April, is the second in our League Digital Image Competitions, with the theme of “Motion”, judged by Sandy Watson.
Please send your two digital images to Chris at cjg62(at)nildram.co.uk, resized if possible to a maximum of 1024×768 pixels, before Wednesday 11th April.
In the second part of the meeting, David Illingworth will guide us through some basic photo editing.
We look forward to lots of entries to the competition, especially from the new members. This is the best way to learn how to improve our photography.
Please come along and bring lots of friends.
