Next Meeting 29th March – Battle with Henley
Our next meeting, on Thursday 29th March, is a Battle with Henley Photographic Club, in which we pit our digital images and prints against Henley’s, in a competition judged by Alan Copeland. The winner will be the club with the most points. Please come along and support our club, and bring your friends, in what will be an enjoyable and fun evening.
Next Meeting Thursday 15th March – “Macro” by Bob Brind-Surch
Our next meeting, on Thursday 15th March, is a special event, with Bob Brind-Surch, from Towcester Camera Club, talking about Macro Photography.
Bob is a recognized expert on macro photography, and has given presentations on the subject across the country to great acclaim. He will give a large number of examples from the natural world, and also some from a range of other situations that should make his talk of interest to all photographers. One feature of Bob’s talks is his enthusiasm and willingness to explain his techniques and the use of a variety of cameras, lens types and software.
This promises to be a most exciting opportunity to learn about this field of photography. Please bring lots of friends (together with yourself, of course!). We look forward to seeing you all at this very interesting meeting.
Next Meeting Thursday 1st March – Africa & DSLR Metering
At our next meeting, on Thursday 1st March, Karen Hughes will talk about her East Africa trip with her telephoto lens, followed by Chris Gibbins with the second talk on an Introduction to the DSLR, discussing the different metering modes available in the camera. This will also include some simple assignments to get to know how to use these to their best advantage.
(Note, this is a change in the previously advertized programme. David Illingworth’s talk on Basic Photo Editing will be given on 12th April.)
Everyone is welcome, do come along, and bring friends and newcomers. We look forward to seeing you all there.
